Dental SEO for independent clinics in Ontario.
Most clinics rank for their own name and little else. Our dental SEO services get your Google Business Profile, treatment pages and reviews working together, so patients searching for implants, Invisalign or an emergency visit find you, on Google Maps and in AI answers. Every page is written to stay within RCDSO advertising guidance.

Being the clinic patients find when they search.
Dental SEO is the work of making a dental clinic show up when nearby patients search for a dentist or a treatment: in the Google Maps results, in the regular results below them, and in the answers ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity give. For a local clinic, most of it happens off your website, in your Google Business Profile and reviews, and the rest on focused pages for each treatment you offer.
Patients search three ways. They search for a dentist near them (“dentist near me” gets about 60,500 searches a month in Canada, according to Semrush). They search for a treatment in their area, such as “dental implants Hamilton”. And more of them now ask an AI tool which clinic to choose. Good SEO for dentists covers all three.
Six parts, run every month.
Google Business Profile
Categories, services, hours, photos, posts and questions, kept complete and current. This is what decides the map results.
Treatment pages
One focused page for each treatment you want more of, written for patients in your area and linked from your profile.
Reviews
A simple routine for your front desk to ask every patient for a Google review, and replies to every review. No incentives and no gating.
Local listings
Your clinic name, address and phone number identical on the Canadian directories Google and AI tools rely on.
Technical and schema
Fast mobile pages, tap-to-call, online booking links and Dentist schema so search engines read your clinic correctly.
AI answer visibility
Plain, quotable facts about your clinic across the web, and monthly checks of what ChatGPT and Google’s AI say about you.
Dental SEO has to work within RCDSO rules.
When we read 3,916 independent Ontario clinic websites in September 2026, 79% had at least one line that likely conflicts with RCDSO advertising guidance. Much of it came from marketing copy written for search. Read the Ontario Dental Website Report 2026.
- No superlatives in titles or copy. “Best dentist in Toronto” is a common page title and a common RCDSO problem. We target the same searches with factual wording.
- Reviews stay on Google. Testimonials and review widgets on your own site are not allowed. Patients can still review you on Google, which is where reviews help your ranking.
- No incentives for reviews. No gift cards, draws or discounts in exchange for a review.
- Specialist wording. General dentists do not call themselves specialists, even on a page about implants or orthodontics.
Read the rules in plain language, or check your own site with our free RCDSO wording check. It is an automated screen, not legal advice.

Audit and fixes
Profile, listings, site speed, wording and the searches that matter most for your clinic. The quick fixes go live first.
Pages and profile
New treatment pages, a complete Google Business Profile and a review routine your team can keep up.
Local authority
Directory cleanup, local mentions and the first monthly report on calls, booking clicks and rankings.
Month-to-month
New pages each month, profile posts and review replies. Stay because it works, not because of a contract.
Two plans, one approach.
Starter
For clinics in suburban and mid-size markets.
- Google Business Profile: categories, services, photos, posts and Q&A
- Review request routine for your front desk
- Listings cleanup on the directories that matter in Canada
- 2 new or rewritten service pages a month
- Monthly report: calls, booking clicks, rankings
Growth
For busier areas and clinics adding new treatments.
- Everything in Starter
- 4 pages a month, including neighbourhood pages
- Local links: community, associations and local press
- AI answer tracking in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google
- Quarterly strategy call
Shortcuts that put your licence or listing at risk.
Some of these are common in dental marketing. All of them break Google policy, RCDSO guidance or both.
- Buy links or reviews, or post reviews from staff and family
- Offer gift cards or discounts in exchange for reviews
- Send only happy patients to Google (review gating)
- Use “best”, “leading” or “state of the art” in your copy
- Call a general dentist a specialist
- Keep your accounts in our name

Dental SEO questions, answered.
How long does dental SEO take to work?
Google Business Profile fixes and new treatment pages usually show movement in 6 to 12 weeks. Ranking in the map results for competitive treatments in Toronto or Mississauga typically takes 4 to 6 months of steady work. We report calls and booking clicks every month so you can judge progress on patients, not promises.
How much does dental SEO cost in Ontario?
Our plans run from CAD 590 to 1,590 a month, depending on how competitive your area is and how many treatment pages you need. There is a 3-month minimum, then it is month-to-month. You own every account and every page we create. See our dental SEO cost guide for how to judge any quote.
Can you guarantee a first-place ranking?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Google does not sell rankings. What we commit to is the work: a complete profile, a strong page for each treatment you want more of, a steady review routine and clean listings, reported monthly.
Is SEO for dentists different from SEO for other businesses?
Yes. Health content is held to a higher standard by Google, and in Ontario the RCDSO restricts how dentists advertise. That rules out many common tactics: superlatives in page titles, testimonials on your website and incentives for reviews. We build every page to work within those rules.
Do you work with specialists and group practices?
We work with independent general dentists and specialists, including orthodontists, periodontists and oral surgeons, in clinics with one to five locations. Corporate networks usually have their own marketing teams, so they are not a fit.
Do you work outside Ontario?
Our focus is Ontario, because we know the RCDSO rules and the local search landscape here. If you are elsewhere in Canada, book a call and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.
