Independent dental listings Google returned on November 2, 2026 for an area that covers the City of Burlington boundary (about 86% of the searched area is inside the city; the rest is the edges of Hamilton, Oakville and Milton, and the lake). Websites read between September 25 and October 12, 2026, each counted once. Ontario figures come from the same checks on 4,234 independent clinic websites and 7,117 independent listings.

The Burlington market

What it takes to rank in Burlington.

Burlington had 186,948 residents at the 2021 census, up 2% from 2016, with an average age of 43.3. About 21% of residents were 65 or older, compared with about 16% across Halton Region, according to the Halton Region population page built from Statistics Canada census data. That makes Burlington an established, slower-growing market with a larger share of older residents than the region around it.

Google says local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. In practice a clinic in Aldershot competes with the clinics around Plains Road, not with one in Alton Village or Appleby. We work with clinics downtown along Brant Street and across Aldershot, Tyandaga, Brant Hills, Headon Forest, Millcroft, Orchard, Alton Village, Appleby, Palmer and Roseland.

Burlington clinic websites are ahead of the Ontario average on most basics. On our 0 to 100 website check the median site scores 77.5, against 76 for Ontario, and only 19% lack a tap-to-call link (25% across Ontario). So the basics are expected here. The clinics that pull ahead are the ones with more reviews, clearer treatment pages and a profile that answers older patients’ questions.

  • Reviews, the RCDSO way. 39% of independent listings already have more than 100 Google reviews, against 34% across Ontario. A steady review routine matters, but it has to stay within RCDSO guidance: no incentives, and care with testimonials on your own site. Our guide to Google reviews and your dental website explains what is safe.
  • Structured data is still the open gap. 53% of Burlington sites carry no Dentist or LocalBusiness schema, so search engines and AI tools have to guess your hours, address and services. It is one of the quickest fixes we make.
  • Pages for the treatments older patients search. 31% of Burlington sites link to one treatment page or none from the homepage (35% across Ontario). Clear pages for dentures, implants, crowns and gum care give Google something specific to rank and answer the questions patients ask before they call.
  • Say how easy it is to get in. Parking, a step-free entrance, an elevator and evening hours matter to many patients. Google Business Profile has accessibility attributes such as a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking and restroom. Mark the ones that are true, and say the same on your website.
  • Write a description Google can use. 42% of Burlington sites have no meta description on the home page (46% across Ontario), so Google picks its own snippet for the search result.

How we start

The first 90 days with a Burlington clinic.

  • Weeks 1 to 2: map check and quick fixes. We search for a dentist from several spots around your clinic and record where you appear. Then we fix your Google profile and accessibility attributes, add structured data, and make sure hours, parking and tap-to-call are clear on your site.
  • Weeks 3 to 8: treatment pages. We write pages for the treatments you want more of, starting with the searches nearest your clinic.
  • Weeks 9 to 12: reviews and listings. A simple review request routine with no incentives, plus cleanup of your listings on other sites. Then we repeat the map check and report calls, direction requests and website clicks.
Questions

Dental SEO in Burlington: common questions.

How competitive is dental SEO in Burlington?

We found 156 operating dental listings on Google in and around Burlington, counting individual dentists as well as clinics: 140 independent and 16 chain or group locations. 55 of the independent listings have more than 100 Google reviews, and most clinic websites already cover the basics. Standing out here usually takes structured data, a page for each main treatment, a steady flow of reviews and a Google profile that matches your website.

How much does dental SEO cost in Burlington?

Our plans run from CAD 590 to 1,590 a month depending on how competitive your area is. There is a 3-month minimum, then it is month-to-month, and you own every account. Our dental SEO cost guide shows how to judge any quote.

Should our website say we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

If you do, yes, and keep it accurate. Many patients look for the plan by name before they call. To qualify, a patient needs no access to private dental insurance, an adjusted family net income under $90,000, a tax return filed in Canada and Canadian tax residency, as set out on the Government of Canada eligibility page. Link to that page rather than promising coverage. Our CDCP website guide shows what to put on the page.

Can we call ourselves the most trusted dentist in Burlington?

Avoid it. The RCDSO advertising guidelines rule out statements that are unclear, untrue or misleading, and superlative or comparative terms. Words like “most trusted”, “best” or “top” fall into that group. Say what you actually offer instead, such as years in the community, evening hours or a step-free entrance. Our RCDSO advertising rules guide and free RCDSO wording check help you find risky phrases.

Do you work with clinics outside Burlington?

Yes. We work with independent clinics across Ontario, including Oakville, Hamilton and Mississauga. See our dental SEO services and dental marketing approach.
